Happy Friday!
Since it's Friday, you know what that means...a brand new Nerdy Naturals post! This week, we have a post from a brand new contributor--Sammi. Sammi is a Junior Nursing major from Pompano Beach, FL. She loves makeup and fashion--pretty much anything beauty-related.

Here are some of Sammi's favorite things:
Primer: NYX Shine Killer Primer -- $13.99
This primer is the only drugstore primer I use, and I have to say it works really well for my oily areas like my cheeks and forehead. I definitely recommend this for my oily girls!
Foundation:
- Oily Skin: Maybelline Fit Me Matte
This foundation is an “oldie but goodie” in my book. It’s buildable, with medium to full coverage depending on how much you use, and they’ve recently extended their shades.
- Dry Skin: L’Oreal True Match
L’Oreal True Match has one of the broadest shade ranges I’ve ever seen in any drugstore foundation, and has some of the best overall coverage while still giving a “skin like” finish. However, this foundation does not work to control oils so I’d recommend this foundation for those with dry skin rather than oily skin.
Under Eye Concealer + Color Corrector: L.A. Girl Pro Concealer -- $3 - $5
L.A Girl’s Pro Coverage concealer has become a staple product in the beauty industry. It’s full coverage, creamy formula and shade range draws the attention of makeup users of all shades.
All-Over Face Powder/Baking Powder: Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder -- $7.99
This powder can be used used as an all over powder of a baking powder, depending on your complexion and how bright you would like your undereye to be. This loose powder comes in an array of shades perfect for all WOC, and keeps you matte all day, especially when paired with the Fit Me Matte foundation.
Contour:
- Cream: Black Radiance Concealer Stick -- $2
- Powder: Black Radiance Matte Powder --$4
Shimmery Highlight: ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in shade (Avalon)--$8
Avalon is one of my favorite highlighters of all time -- drugstore and high end -- because of it’s creamy formula and stunning sheen that it gives. It’s a deep, bronzy highlighter absolutely perfect for olive to deeper skin tones.
Blush: Milani Rose Powder Blushes -- $6.99
The pigment on Milani’s blushes is amazing, especially for the price range. There is a great variety of shades suited for every skin tone, making this foundation a favorite for many.
Lipstick: ColourPop -- $5 - $8
ColourPop has sooo many different colors, finishes and formulas of lipstick. Just enough to satisfy every look, mood and situation. ColourPop’s traditional and liquid lipsticks is what skyrocketed their brand, and it was well deserved.
Eyeshadow: Juvia’s Place Saharan Palette
Juvia’s place, a BOMB (Black Owned Makeup Brand) that has been delivering gorgeous eyeshadow palettes like this one for over 2 years. Not only is this palette beautiful, but it’s high pigmentation and versatility make it the perfect palette for everyday.
